Eric A. Stanley’s book The Aesthetic Underground: Visual Insurgency in the Long 1970s will examine visual and poetic cultures produced in the US in support of radical underground movements in the 1970s and early 1980s.
Eric A. Stanley is associate professor in the Department of Gender and Women’s Studies at University of California, Berkeley. They are the author of Atmospheres of Violence: Structuring Antagonism and the Trans/Queer Ungovernable (Duke University Press, 2021).
