Paul Michael Brown will produce a series of short-form critical essays on exhibitions taking place across the American South, with an emphasis on queer artists and artists who are self-taught. He will visit Southern artists where they work and will provide an assessment of the state of the region’s visual art in the context of greater political and social shifts in the South.
