Uranchimeg Tsultem’s book Withstanding Power: Mongolian Artists on Resilience in the Past and Present will study Mongolian artists of the previous and present centuries whose work serves to visually critique Socialist Realism and neoliberalism.
Uranchimeg Tsultem is associate professor at the Herron School of Art and Design at Indiana University. She is the author of A Monastery on the Move: Art and Politics in Later Buddhist Mongolia (Hawaii University Press, 2020).
