Zoé Samudzi’s article “The Citizen and the Anthropophage: Postwar/Postcolonial Italian Memory and the Cannibal Boom” will engage fraught conceptions of Italian history via psychocinematic representations in the mondo and cannibal horror film genres.

Zoé Samudzi is a Provost’s Fellow to Faculty scholar in African American and Africana Studies at The Ohio State University. Her research engages the afterlives of the Ovaherero and Nama genocide, visuality, and genocide memory and denialism.
